Who’s Who

Karina Robinson FCSI (Hon) is the CEO of Redcliffe Advisory Ltd. 

The firm provides Chairman/CEO Advisory services.

Karina is a champion of the City of London, with a deep belief in the power of Diversity & Inclusion and a reputation as a benign disruptor. She connects the worlds of finance, Deep Tech and academia. 

She sits as Non-Executive Director on the Board of Atlanti, an Anglo-Swiss Fund Management firm that specialises in the subordinated bonds of blue chip financial institutions.

In the quantum ecosphere, Karina is the Founder of  The City Quantum & AI Summit, which takes place in the Mansion House, a unique event in the heart of the City of London, bringing together the international quantum ecosphere and the Global City. She is a Senior Advisor to Multiverse Computing, Europe’s largest quantum software firm. She is a member of the UKQuantum Working Group on International Cooperation and Trade and writes a column on the implications of the quantum computing revolution for The Quantum Insider, the industry's leading data and media information platform.

In the City, she was Chair of the Lord Mayor’s Appeal Advisory Board, which groups together the CEOs/Chairs of major City institutions, as well as a Trustee of the Lord Mayor’s Appeal, having helped grow it from a pop-up charity to a multi-year institution. She is a Past Master of the Worshipful Company of International Bankers, and an Honorary Fellow of the CISI.

Karina ran Robinson Hambro with City legend Rupert Hambro CBE for over a decade. The firm specialised in Board Search and Chairman/CEO Advice.

At the London School of Economics, she is an Emeritus Governor and Co-Director of The Inclusion Initiative, a research unit at the LSE that uses insights from behavioral science to change the culture of City firms and Deep Tech. She spent two terms as a NED on the LSE’s Finance Committee.

Karina was a Senior Advisor to Cambridge Quantum, one of the premier global quantum software companies, which merged with hardware specialist Honeywell Quantum.

Karina is a founding member of ARENI, a global research and action institute for the future of Fine Wine. She was also an Advisory Board member of the Global Female Leaders Summit from its 2013 inception to the summer of 2019.

Most of her career was spent as a journalist covering international financial issues. She was Senior Editor of The Banker magazine for eight years and the International Herald Tribune’s banking columnist. Her eponymous interviews with heads of state and CEOs were syndicated in the IHT. Karina was formerly a Political & Economic Correspondent at Bloomberg/TV and began her career at merchant bank Morgan Grenfell as the Spanish Equity Analyst. She was educated in Madrid, at the Hotchkiss School in the US and at the London School of Economics where she studied economics and international relations. She is fluent in four languages.
